Suvon is currently supporting IATCI (Inter-Airline Through Check-In) Systems for carriers in the Asia Pacific.
The IATCI systems provide online Check-In between the host system and its airline partners. It enables simultaneous check-in for passengers on flights and their connecting partner airlines. This means that passengers arriving at their point of departure can be automatically checked in and issued with boarding passes through to their final destination, even though this may include a flight on an airline different to that they are initially flying with. The system also provides the reverse, simultaneous check-in for passengers on partner airlines and their connecting flights.
The system can handle check-in onto up to 3 connecting flights that can include “change of gauge” flights.
The full spectrum of departure control functionality is provided with support for offloading passengers; seat changes; altering passengers information details such as frequent flyer information; passenger lists and seat maps.
The systems achieve through check-in by exchanging the IATA specified set of EDIFACT messages for the performance of Interactive Through Check-In between airline systems. The systems provide support for various versions and interpretations of the message formats as well as providing the means for airlines unable to support EDIFACT messaging to participate.
